Why Is It Better To Cast Professional Actors Instead Of Employees In Corporate Videos?

Deciding whether or not you should cast your own employees in corporate videos is a tough decision to Professionalismmake. For us though, it’s not.

Even though we are pros at getting the best out of non-actors, we highly recommend sticking with professionals or creating a mixed cast of professional actors and employees.

Here are a few reasons why:

You Can’t Fake Professionalism

When you cast professional actors, you can be sure that they will memorize their dialogue, hit their marks, and understand why they may need to be on set for 10 hours. They will also give you a natural and believable performance. Professional actors, especially those who specialize in industrial or corporate videos, are familiar with the video production process and will not cause the production to get off course.

Professionals will also breathe confidence in your corporate videos. Simply put, casting actors can be the difference between someone watching your video and feeling engaged, or someone feeling sidetracked.

There Is No Denying The Truth

There are two reasons why you probably want to use your own employees- to remain truthful or to save money .

If filming a commercial, whenever you are looking for a genuine performance, professional actors will always be the better option. If you’re filming a training video, it may make sense to use team members, especially if they need to perform a technical task.

Even though you might ask your employees to do what they naturally do, staying comfortable in front of a camera and an entire crew is far from easy. On the other hand, professional actors take on every role as an art, and this is what enables them to add truthfulness to a role.

We work with our clients to determine which roles should be played by actors and which ones by team members.

Saving Time

A significant amount of time can be wasted if the employees don’t know their lines, are feeling nervous, or aren’t “camera ready” (hair, makeup, and wardrobe aren’t right). Similarly, when you have gone the length and perfected every aspect of the pre-production phase, there is nothing more upsetting than people not showing up.

A professional actor will limit takes; Hence, professional actors won’t be the reason a production falls behind. This can help you save a lot of time and consequently, money.

Actors Come In A Variety

When you start auditioning for professional actors, you will realize you have so much choice. This gives you the opportunity to select those who have the right tone to match your brand personality.

Ultimately, this has a positive effect on the overall engagement, style, and approach of your video.
