Finding The Right Keyboard For Us

People assume that because we’re in a creative field we only use Macs. Well, they’re right – we only use Macs and pretty much anything else Apple makes. To get our work done, we use iMacs, MacBook Pros, iPhones and iPads. Yes, we’re part of the cult of Mac.

But not all our hardware is Apple. We recently started using Kanex’s Multi-Sync Keyboard, and we’re happy we made the switch. We produced a product video for the keyboard last year, and Kanex sent us one to test out and become familiar with so we could write an honest script. It was then that we started to think about making the switch.

At the time, we were using the Apple Wireless Keyboard. It worked well enough, but was limited. For example, it didn’t have a numeric keypad and often disconnected, halting productivity. Not too long ago, we made the decision to switch to Kanex’s Multi-Sync Keyboard. Mainly for the following features:

• full-sized with wireless and connected options

• 3 shortcut bluetooth keys for switching between the Mac, iPhone and iPad

• specialty shortcut buttons specially designed for Macs, like the iOS Device Home Button

• the iPhone/iPad stand that allows for each iOS device viewing

The bluetooth switching between devices is my personal favorite feature. Most times, my set-up consists of my iPhone on the Kanex stand, in front of me on the desk, so when I get a text I love that with a touch of a button I can switch from the iMac to the iPhone and reply to the text from the keyboard.

We wanted to write this blog for anyone looking for a keyboard solution, especially in the creative fields. We’re super happy with our Kanex Multi-Sync Keyboard, for our video production business and personal use.

Differences Between an Independent Videographer and a Professional Video Production Company

You know you need OC, LA or Riverside video production services, but you have come across two options: hiring an independent videographer or a professional Los Angeles corporate video production company?

In order to make a calculated decision, you need to understand the differences between an independent videographer and a professional video production company. Once you realize the specifics of each of these options, making an effective decision will become easier.

“Jack of all trades, master of none”

Freelance videographers may appear to be a reasonable solution based on their cost and portfolio. It is, without a doubt, highly cost effective. However, the quality of the work is not guaranteed, since you don’t know exactly what services they are responsible for according to the work shown in their reels. For example, you might see a portion of a commercial in their reel, but they were the Production Assistant on the project and not the Director. In addition, freelance videographers may not specialize in corporate video. Corporate video may be just one of many areas they work in. Many times, they’re also working on web series, weddings, individual projects, and independent films simultaneously, which markedly reduces the quality of the work.

Quality Of Work

Depending on your requirements, it is likely that the quality of work will be your first priority. The time and effort that it takes to execute a creative concept is best left to the professionals, namely professional video production companies. You can see in their work that their quality is far superior to a freelance videographer’s work.

Services Offered

Our projects require services in all phases of production: pre, production and post. For example, we collaborate with the client on the script, making sure it reflects their brand and complies with the marketing objectives. We provide crew, cast and equipment during production. In post-production we do all the music and sound editing and mixing, color correction, editing, and animations in-house. You probably require all these services too. Each of these services require an expert to handle them and a one-man operation cannot be the best in all these areas.

Financial Stability

Production has many moving pieces and there need to be safety protocols in place to prevent injury or damage. A mistake made by an independent/inexperienced videographer can result in a monumental loss and you might end up spending more than anticipated. With a professional video production company, your budget will not suffer; a reputable one has an insurance policy and worker’s comp policy to protect you from loss.

Resources

A corporate video company uses the most advanced and modern computers and equipment to produce their videos. These resources directly affect the success and quality of the videos they produce. Video companies also handpick the cast and crew to form the strongest team, resulting in the best video.

Top Mistakes You Make When Posting Videos on a Blog

Video marketing – everyone is doing it and so are you, but the difference is that while everyone is enjoying “success” in their businesses by posting videos online, you are not. After all, you are also posting videos the same way they are. So, where are you lacking?

You may have hired the best OC, LA or Riverside video production company to help you come up with the perfect video, but you’re not satisfied with how your video is performing online. Posting videos on your website or your blog is so much more than just embedding it on your website.

Here are some of the most common mistakes one makes when posting videos on a blog.

Your Posts Do Not Indicate Video Content

Preparing your readers or creating an air of anticipation amongst your readers is one of the best ways to ensure that your video is viewed. Giving descriptions in your blog posts saying things like, “Here (video hyperlink) is what our offices look like from the inside!” will compel visitors to click on the link for sure.

Moreover, you can post the video on the top of the blog post or in between the blog post, where people will be more likely to play it. Specifying the fact that there is a video with the blog post beforehand is essential.

Minimal Customization

When the video content is not in accordance with the dimensions of the web content, its presence simply becomes annoying.Make sure that you customize the resolution of the video so that it does not exceed the content column of the blog. You should also make sure your video is set to playback in HD.

Moreover, you can customize your embedded code by setting a start up time or allowing (or not allowing) related videos to stream.

No Captions or Descriptions

It is always a good idea to introduce your video beforehand. Caption your video in a small, yet catchy few sentences or summarize the content in a small paragraph. An embedded video that does not have any description of any kind maybe overlooked.

Missing the Call to Action

If your video blog posts are missing a call to action then even if the readers are impressed by what they see, it is likely that they will “reject” you because they cannot see any means to contact you. Adding a “Like us on Facebook” or “Call us today” gives readers (and viewers) a reason to learn more about your business and services.

What You Need To Know Before Hiring a Video Production Company

If you are thinking of spicing up your marketing strategy this year by producing an online video, looking for the right team to work with can get slightly frustrating. With the huge variety of production companies in Riverside, LA, Orange County and San Diego available, choosing the right one can be more difficult than you imagined.

You might consider watching a few sample videos and make a decision based on that. However, that’s just one aspect to consider. As much as high quality is essential, other factors like compatibility, communication and creativity are essential, too.

So, without further ado, here are a few things to look for before hiring a video production company in Riverside, LA, OC or San Diego.

Are They Concerned About Your Company?

Make sure you talk to the company representatives beforehand. This can be done over the phone or in-person. This will give you a chance to assess whether you feel they are concerned about your company and your requirements and goals, or are they just concerned about their own business. It’s a good sign ifthey ask you important questions regarding the specifications of your company, information about your target audience, your culture, brand, and story.

Do They Actively Discuss New Ideas With You?

When it comes to hiring video production companies, you know that you will not be the only one availing their services. They might use templates or video packages, which will not do your brand justice or attract your target audiences.

Look for a company that comes up with new, unique ideas to make your company stand out. Feel free to discuss your own ideas with them and collaborate to come up with something worthwhile. This sort of communication will help you make the right choice!

Did You Go Through Company Credentials and Testimonials?

Technology today has made our lives a great deal easier, even when it comes to hiring a reliable corporate video production company. Going through the company’s blog, testimonials and credentials can give you a clear idea about company philosophy, process, and customer service. Looking at these aspects will help you decide whether you can have a comfortable and effective working relationship with them or not.

Do They Work With A Range Of Budgets?

Some video companies will not take on a project if the budget is under $50,000. It’s a good idea to know how much you want to spend at the start, and see if the video company is willing to work with that. They may make suggestions and recommendations on how best to execute a concept based on your budget.

We work with a wide range of budgets and business sizes. Some of our projects cost under $10,000 and some over $100,000. We are equally passionate about the success of all our projects, no matter the budget of size of the company.

What makes us stand out from our competition is the way we approach the process and treat our clients. Our goal is to provide the best customer service, the best experience, and of course, the best videos! Benefits of Using Videos In Your Marketing Plan For Your Small Business

Benefits of Using Videos In Your Marketing Plan For Your Small BusinessTechnology is changing our lives with new, innovative inventions everyday. These advances have made our lives easier in a number of ways, especially when it comes to running a small business. And when it comes to marketing your small business, your #1 tools should be a computer and Internet connection. However, in order to utilize these tools in an effective manner, knowledge of online marketing and your efforts are key.

Businesses who understand online marketing know the importance of video, and they use media in their blogs, on their social networking sites, website, and in paid advertising. They do this because they know not only is video an highly powerful SEO improvement tool, but it engages viewers and increases sales.

As an OC, LA, San Diego and Riverside video production company, let us explain some of the benefits of using video in your marketing plan.

Bigger Audience At A Lower Cost

While the cost of the actual production of a video ranges greatly, once you have your video in hand many sites allow uploading without any cost. With social networks like You Tube and Facebook, video sharing is easy and free. Same goes with posting the video to your site. Once your video is on the web and is titled and described properly, it reaches a wider audience pool than it would with conventional, cost controlled methods of marketing.

Greater Interest=Greater Customers

The impact of visuals, namely online videos, that advertise your services are more beneficial than other advertising mediums like radio or print. They have the ability to impact the audience’s subconscious, making them remember you for a longer period of time, hence making them more likely potential customers.

Have an Edge Over the Competition

Big businesses distribute their videos on TV and online. However, a business does not stand out in terms of the money it spends on advertising, but in the creativity and effort invested in its strategies. Using videos, as a small business, gives you a competitive edge and a business simply stands out based on their creativity!

What makes us stand out from other Riverside video production companies is our understanding of the way businesses use our video in the marketing efforts and in the way we produce our videos. Our goal is to provide the best customer service, the best experience, and of course, the best videos! Feel free to go through our portfolio or contact us for any questions that you may have and we will be more than happy to be of assistance!

What’s wrong with Your Marketing Video?

Videos are certainly an influential force in today’s world. According to recent statistics, it has been reported that around 1 billion visitors are received by YouTube every month. But what does this mean to you? It means your business needs video, but it has to be good to be effective, so was it?

Did your previous video not yield as much attention as you wanted it to? Did it impress your target audience and compel them to act? Was it something for your competition to be jealous of?

You’re ready to produce your next video, but you’re looking for a new video production company. Los Angeles has many such companies, however, you need to scrutinize their work and their approach before you pick one. Keep these things in mind throughout the process of selection and think about your previous videos.

1. View count of your video is not the only thing that matters. Many organizations and brands delude themselves into thinking that if they are getting a good number of views it means that they are successful. While view count does matter, it only matters partially. The true measure of success is based upon the engagement and the actions that the viewers are driven to, after they are done watching the video. If the video goes viral but it doesn’t drive the viewer to do anything, it is not helping your brand or your organization. So go with a concept that will influence your viewer to either go to your website, watch more uploaded content on your YouTube channel, or to search for your brand.

2. If you think that the content of your video does not really matter, you are wrong. The content of your video matters a lot. There is a lot of marketing content on the web so you need to make sure the video not only looks good, but has a well-written script. Make sure the video company you pick has a pre-production process and the people necessary to write a script that includes the content you need.

3. The most common problem with corporate videos is that they can be boring or cheesy. There is no reason for this! If your video is one or both of those things, you didn’t hire the right video production company. Even the most mundane or complicated processes can be shared in a creative way.

4. People actually do read video descriptions. Don’t think that descriptions are totally irrelevant. You can add a link to your website in the description of your video and your website is simply a click away from the viewer. Also, when you add a video description that is enriched with relevant keywords, it becomes optimized for search engines.
Whether you’re a start-up in Orange County, a large bio-tech company in San Diego, or a medium size business in Los Angeles, video production companies like ourselves are here to produce your video!
