Creating An Educational Video Series For New Cancer Institute

Producing A 7 Video Series For Saddleback Memorial

A very special project is underway in Laguna Hills. Saddleback Memorial Medical Center is currently in construction on their new Cancer Institute. This Institute will deliver the most advanced cancer care to their patients in an all-new, comfortable, and convenient environment. We’ve created several video projects for the hospital in the past: two Proud Moments videos, which are “year-in-review” videos, a movie theater promo, and a 25th Anniversary video for their Women’s Hospital. Each experience has been a great one, yielding successful videos. Now, we’re creating a 7 video series following the construction of the Cancer Institute. The goal of these videos is to educate the South Orange County community about the new Institute. The first two episodes are already up on Saddleback Memorial’s YouTube channel. We’re in post-production on Episode 3 now, with the 4th episode to be filmed soon. The Institute will open in the Spring of 2014.

336 Takes To The Skies: Now Offering Aerial Video

First things first, aerial shots are cool. Everyone loves an epic aerial shot as much as they love a hypnotizing time-lapse. We’ve been creating time-lapses for our clients for years now, but we haven’t been able to offer aerial shots…until now! We recently purchased a DJI Phantom Quadcopter so that we could offer amazing aerial footage. We’ve already used the drone on 3 project this year, and we anticipate using it a whole lot more. Our clients are impressed with the quality of the footage and the altitude the drone can reach.

There’s no additional cost for aerial shots. The Phantom Quadcopter comes is part of our production kit, so if the client needs an aerial shot in their corporate video, it’s as easy as liftoff!

New Year, New Videos

We had 22 video projects, consisting of 166 videos, we won 3 corporate video awards, and celebrated our 5th year in business. We worked with start-ups and Fortune 500 companies. We had clients with headquarters in Finland (SAP) and Japan (Lustroware), and in Irvine, CA (Neudesic) and Laguna Hills (Saddleback Memorial Medical Center). We also started our first government job in 2013 – an 11 video series for Corona’s Department of Water and Power.

We produced everything from an explainer / marketing video for a new app launching Summer 2014 to an orientation video for one of the largest owners and operators of apartment communities in the United States, Aimco. Since we started our business in 2008, we’ve been growing, but one thing remains the same…we provide the most entertaining, quality corporate video while delivering the best customer service. We’re looking forward to another great year of growth, new clients, and lots and lots of video!

2013 So Far

I don’t know who said 13 was an unlucky number. For 336, it’s been lucky. We kicked it off by winning our first government job. It’s top secret right now, so while we can’t give details, we can tell you that it’s been such a fun and exciting experience. We’re currently in pre-production on it, and will go into production later this summer.

We also produced RxPrep’s educational video series. RxPrep creates online and live prep courses for the NAPLEX® Board Review and CPJE Review, and delivers them to the top pharmacy schools, leading pharmacy chains, and students all over the country. There were over 20 videos in the project. We filmed the videos in December, and delivered them in late January.

Another noteworthy project we completed was for Aimco, one of the largest apartment home builders and managers. We produced an orientation video for them that they show new residents when they move into an Aimco community. The video breaks down all of the communities rules and regulations. We created 9 versions of the orientation video to reflect the differences in the rules and regulations of their communities across the country.

The featured picture is from a web and marketing video we just wrapped production on last week. The project is for a new app that will be launching soon. We’re currently in post-production, and are very excited to share the finished product with you when it’s done.

So far, we’ve completed 20+ project this year – some of which were solely motion-graphics, some live-action, and some, a blend of both. The projects we’ve worked on this year have included brand videos, explainers, trade show videos, sales and marketing videos, orientation videos, educational videos, and tutorial videos. We’ve worked with past clients and lots of new ones.

So keep it up 2013 – you might end up being our favorite so far.

336 Produces a Video for Sydnee – A Smart Recharge Station

That’s why we were thrilled when Kanex approached us to work on a product video to help showcase their product, Sydnee, a docking station that allows a user to charge up to four iPads or iOS devices at once. With an eye-catching design that Steve Jobs would be proud of, the Sydnee is a perfect example of functional design at its finest. We love the Syndee, so much so that we use them in our office to efficiently charge our iPads and iPhones. [image small=”” align=”right” width=”300″ height=”224″ type=”image” skin=”on”]

As a video production company, we’re always thinking about the future of digital media as it applies to “four screens” – the TV, tablet, computer, and smartphone. Our company strives to develop digital video content such as brand videos, corporate productions and promotional videos that are accessible over all devices. Kanex uses the video we created for them on all four screens: at trade shows on TV screens, on their iPads for sales presentations, on their smartphones in case there is ever an opportunity where they needed to play it for a potential customer, and of course on their website and YouTube channel.

We worked on this project from concept to completion. We pitched Kanex a few concepts based on their needs and goals for the video. Once they approved one of the concepts, we went right into pre-production: writing the script, casting the project, scouting and locking locations, tech scouting, planning and preparing for production.[image small=”” align=”left” width=”300″ height=”224″ type=”image” skin=”on”]

We opted to shoot on the RED camera for this project. We shot the video over the course of three days at a private residence in Anaheim, a retail shop in Costa Mesa, and a school in Fullerton.

All post-production services were done in-house.

Kanex uses the video as a sales and marketing tool to help showcase and sell the Sydnee. This project showcases not only our love for digital innovation, but also the emergence of digital video as part of the technological revolution.
