We’ve been meaning to update our reel for a while now, but we’ve been so busy this year (wooo!) that we had to put it on the back burner. Finally though, this September, we were able to give it the time it needed, and got to work. It includes a lot of new work, and an opening and closing sequence we shot in Costa Mesa, Newport Beach, and Irvine, California. You’ll see corporate videos, trade show videos, film trailers, web promos, commercials, and other branded video. There’s clips from over 28 different projects. This reel won’t need updating till 2012…2 months from now!?
We’re delighted to announce that statuettes from The Telly Awards and Communicator Awards are on their way to our office. Both awards are in recognition of the Hydraflow corporate culture video we produced entitled, “Hydraflow Celebrates 50 Years.” Our work was selected as a winner in the Film/Video: Corporate Image category. This is a huge achievement for us, as we work mainly with corporations, and we believe our work is outstanding, but now we have more awards to prove it!

We started our business in April 2008, at the very beginning of the economic crisis. A small business, just starting out, in the midst of one of the worst economies our country has ever seen. Talk about good timing! But we believed working hard, providing the absolute best customer service, and producing top-notch video would carry us through the crisis. It did, and now we are entering our 3rd year of business as a successful, award-winning production company.
We still believe in working hard, providing excellent customer service, and producing the very best video out there. We look forward to even more growth and opportunity in our 3rd year, and of course, are grateful for our clients: past, present and future.
We have a very exciting project we’re currently working on…the feature length mockumentary Monster Heroes. Written by Brent Tarnol and directed by Danny Cistone, the film features such stars as Brian Austin Green, Danny Nucci, Sally Struthers, Patrick Gallagher, Sarah Hyland and Nolan Gould. Producer, Jarret Tarnol, explains that the film follows “a film maker [as he] documents the trials and tribulations of four classic monster descendants and their ability to live among a human society.”
The production company behind the film, Tarnol Group Pictures, approached 336 Productions to handle some of the post-production work including editing the official trailer, color correcting the film, creating the opening title sequence, and handling all visual effects.
It’s hard to call it work when the footage makes us laugh so hard!
[dropcap]H[/dropcap]ydraflow, a Fullerton, CA based company that designs and manufactures aerospace and defense systems components, is getting ready to celebrate a huge milestone this summer, their 50th Anniversary. They chose 336 Productions to create a corporate culture video that will premiere at one of their anniversary events. The video takes a look back into Hydraflow’s history, reflects on where they are now, and gazes into a future full of exciting possibilities. We will also be filming and photographing all the anniversary events that will unfold over the course of a weekend this May.
We had a wonderful time filming the video at Hyrdaflow’s gorgeous 174,000 square foot facility, and meeting and working with Hyrdraflow’s hard working and incredibly welcoming employees.
Below are some stills from the shoot:

336 Productions created a promotional trailer for TACTIX, which will be shared on the official website and video sharing sites, such as YouTube. TACTIX is a martial arts fitness training, certification and business system developed by John Spencer Ellis. 336 shot and edited all the educational videos as part of the TACTIX learning program. The trailer was created to market the program and create buzz. The branded intro is used as the opening for all the video lessons. John Spencer Ellis wanted the videos to be inspirational and high impact.
336 Productions is producing a corporate web video for PowerGuard, an insurance company specializing in the design and underwriting of unique insurance and risk management solutions for wind, solar and other alternative energy companies. The purpose of the video is to educate potential Chinese clients about PowerGuard’s services. Actress Jani Wang delivered the information in Mandarin. The video was shot in a green screen studio at the OC Sound Stage in Irvine, CA.
336 Productions recently wrapped production on TACTIX, a new fitness and martial arts conditioning system developed by John Spencer Ellis. TACTIX is a cross between MMA conditioning, self-defense, metabolic conditioning and body weight training. The program will offer trainers, coaches and fitness professionals certificates to graduates so they can teach TACTIX to groups. 336 Productions captured more than 10 hours of exercises and drills at the LA Boxing in Lake Forest. They are now starting post-production: editing, creating graphics, audio design, music, etc. It’s a very exciting program that 336 Productions is thrilled to be apart of. TACTIX will launch this fall.
336 Productions recently produced a web promo for Head of the Pack, who just launched their new website featuring the frozen, organic dog treat Freezy Pups. Owners of Head of the Pack, Heather and Stefan, came to 336 wanting to produce a fun, yet informative video for their website and video sharing sites, like YouTube. They knew having a web video would help increase their exposure on the web, as well as convert visitors to their site into customers. 336 met with Heather and Stefan and started to brainstorm ideas based on the desired tone and impact. Eventually, an idea was chosen, a script was written and it was time to cast the promo. The part of Rusty went to an adorable Golden Lab named Gidget, and the part of Opie went to a hysterical Beagle named, well, Opie. There’s an old movie saying that stresses never working with dogs or kids. Fortunately, that definitely wasn’t the case, as all parties involved had a great time on set. As for the voice of Rusty and Opie, both roles were played by Craig Adams, talented voiceover artist and actor. 336 Productions wishes Head of the Pack great success with their new venture, and highly recommends Freezy Pups to all dog owners out there (Gidget and Opie couldn’t get enough).
