The Future of Advertising: The Increasing Role of Video Content for Marketing Success

Here’s all you need to know:

Video Marketing is an Effective Tool

Video campaigns are an effective and powerful strategy to grab the attention of your audience.

A survey conducted by Google showed that 6 out of 10 people admitted that they preferred video content to television.

Another survey conducted and published by Eye view Digital showed that linking video to your social media accounts and website improves conversion rates by up to 80 percent!

By embedding videos on your social media pages or sharing it with potential customers through other mediums, you can establish your brand’s identity in the digital world.

Video Marketing Creates Your Brand’s Personality

Think about brands like Dollar Shave Club and McDonald’s. When you think of these brands, you’ll immediately remember the themes they use in their videos.

Dollar Shave Club targets young men who struggle with finding affordable shaving kits that have high-quality razors. McDonald’s focuses on families and spending time with your loved ones.

In a nutshell, we can say Dollar Shave Club is for Millennials and McDonald’s is for families.

Every brand has a unique trait, and while traditional forms of marketing establish a brand’s personality, it’s not as fast and effective as video campaigns are.

Connect with a Broader Audience

Traditional forms of marketing were location-based and limited to certain locations. For example, you could advertise your products in a city with a lot of billboards and shops, but the same couldn’t be said for another city.

But with video content, you can reach a wider audience. Your content isn’t limited to a specific location or demographic. You can reach the entire world by sharing your videos on streaming websites.

For example, you can upload your video content on YouTube and link it to your website and social media pages. When your followers view the video, they have the option to share it with their group of friends and family. It’s truly revolutionary.

Video Marketing Stats and Facts Every Brand Should Know

We no longer live in a world that solely relies on TV commercials, billboards, and live marketing strategies. But what makes video marketing so powerful? What makes it a great tool for brands to establish their name in the digital marketplace?

We answer all of these questions below.

Videos Help Build Trust

Let’s say you’re a new company that advertises its brand on social media. You write a LinkedIn or Facebook post to connect with others.

Your post garners attention from a few potential customers and business partners. But they’re not willing to trust you.

Another survey conducted and published by Eyeview Digital shows that that linking videos to social media pages can help brands improve their conversion rate by 80 percent.

Consumers trust video content more because they’re able to see what the product looks like. They know what type of services they can expect from the brands they want to invest in.

Furthermore, 6 out of 10 people admitted they preferred video content to TV.

Videos Are Easily Accessible

According to Pew Research Centre, 77% of Americans now own a smartphone. This means that more and more individuals use their smartphones and mobile devices to shop online.

On an average, more than 500 hours of YouTube videos are watched every day. Video streaming platforms are easily accessible through mobile devices, making video content easily available.

Consumers can watch and listen to content on their phones, laptops, and tablets, instead of relying on television or the radio.

Word-of-Mouth-Recommendations are Powerful

Research shows that 92 percent of people share video content with their friends and family every day.

They rely on video content to connect with loved ones. If your audience likes the content you’ve produced, they are more likely to share it with in their social circle. This allows you to reach out to a broader audience.

Social Media Video Strategies for 2019

What type of social media strategies should you implement in your next video campaign? Here are a couple of ideas:

Customer Reviews

Since word-of-mouth is a powerful marketing tool, creating a video with customer reviews will humanize your brand. When your followers will see how your products and services have changed the lives of your customers, they will become curious about what you have to offer.

This will in turn improve conversion rates and potential customers will also share your content with their followers.

Live Videos

Live videos are also a great way to connect with your followers. This type of interaction is perfect for artists. But brands can also utilize the Live Video feature offered by social media platforms. You can have an employee answer questions that customers have about your brand.

Both Facebook and Instagram offer the live video feature. While there’s no limit on how long the live is offered, it’s a great way to interact with your customers one-on-one for an hour or two, answering their questions and getting to know what they expect from your brand.

Reddit’s AMA

Reddit’s Ask Me Anything is becoming popular with brands, artists, and entrepreneurs. It’s the perfect way to directly ask your target audience what they expect from your brand.

Based on the questions, you can create a video answering the questions and then post it on the platform. This will humanize your brand and will give you insight into the thought process of your target audience. It will help you understand how they think and what their needs are.

In Conclusion

These are a few social media strategies you can use to establish a presence for your brand in the digital world.

If you’re still struggling with creating a stellar video marketing campaign for your brand, you’ve come to the right place!

We produced everything from an explainer / marketing video for a new app launching Summer 2014 to an orientation video for one of the largest owners and operators of apartment communities in the United States, Aimco. Since we started our business in 2008, we’ve been growing, but one thing remains the same…we provide the most entertaining, quality corporate video while delivering the best customer service. We’re looking forward to another great year of growth, new clients, and lots and lots of video!

2013 So Far

I don’t know who said 13 was an unlucky number. For 336, it’s been lucky. We kicked it off by winning our first government job. It’s top secret right now, so while we can’t give details, we can tell you that it’s been such a fun and exciting experience. We’re currently in pre-production on it, and will go into production later this summer.

We also produced RxPrep’s educational video series. RxPrep creates online and live prep courses for the NAPLEX® Board Review and CPJE Review, and delivers them to the top pharmacy schools, leading pharmacy chains, and students all over the country. There were over 20 videos in the project. We filmed the videos in December, and delivered them in late January.

Another noteworthy project we completed was for Aimco, one of the largest apartment home builders and managers. We produced an orientation video for them that they show new residents when they move into an Aimco community. The video breaks down all of the communities rules and regulations. We created 9 versions of the orientation video to reflect the differences in the rules and regulations of their communities across the country.

The featured picture is from a web and marketing video we just wrapped production on last week. The project is for a new app that will be launching soon. We’re currently in post-production, and are very excited to share the finished product with you when it’s done.

So far, we’ve completed 20+ project this year – some of which were solely motion-graphics, some live-action, and some, a blend of both. The projects we’ve worked on this year have included brand videos, explainers, trade show videos, sales and marketing videos, orientation videos, educational videos, and tutorial videos. We’ve worked with past clients and lots of new ones.

So keep it up 2013 – you might end up being our favorite so far.
